When you install ClearUnit we collect and store the following:

• Your shop domain, access token, and installation scope to authenticate your session and provide the app service
• App-level settings such as your enabled or disabled status and your current subscription plan
• Product configuration data including unit types, unit quantities, selling methods, and label format preferences that you set for your products

This data is stored securely in our database and is associated with your shop domain only.

ClearUnit does not collect any personal information from your customers. The unit price display and quantity calculator on your storefront operate entirely on the client side by reading product data that Shopify already provides to the storefront.

• We do not track customer behavior
• We do not store customer identities
• We do not collect any customer personal data at any point

The data we collect is used solely to provide the ClearUnit service to your store:

• Your shop domain and access token are used to authenticate API requests to Shopify on your behalf
• Your product configuration data is used to display the correct unit prices on your storefront
• Your subscription plan status is used to enforce feature access based on your current plan

We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than operating the ClearUnit service.

We retain your data for as long as ClearUnit is installed on your store. When you uninstall ClearUnit we permanently delete all data associated with your shop domain from our database within 48 hours of receiving the uninstall notification from Shopify.

ClearUnit is hosted on Railway, a cloud infrastructure provider. Your data is stored on Railway servers with PostgreSQL. Railway maintains its own security and privacy standards. We use Shopify APIs exclusively to interact with your store data and do not share your data with any other third-party services.

ClearUnit complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. We respond to all Shopify GDPR webhooks including:

• customers/data_request — customer data access requests
• customers/redact — customer data deletion requests
• shop/redact — shop data deletion requests

All data transmitted between your store and ClearUnit is encrypted using HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and never exposed publicly. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data from unauthorized access.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of ClearUnit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
